Missing Colors or Poor Print Quality
If blank pages are observed on your Epson printer or output print quality is extremely poor, then the printhead nozzle may have partially dried out. It is suggested to perform the following recovery steps:
1) Activate the printer's ‘Head Cleaning’ followed by the ‘Nozzle Check’ maintenance routine 2 times in a row from the printer's control panel or activate these tests from your Epson software, followed by printing our 'Ink Recovery Test' print: Test Print CMYK.pdf.
2) If print quality does not improve replace the suspect ink cartridges with new ones. Retest.
3) If your printer continues to exhibit degraded image quality and/or multiple colors are missing, as observed in the printer’s self test page or nozzle check report, you may need to manually clean the printhead by saturating/flushing the ink ports with warm water. It is suggested to first install a new cartridge, or cartridges, to rule out the ink cartridge as cause of the image degradation.
